DCS “Low Stress” Mission Series

Attention all aviators!

Combat flight operations are returning to DigitalThemePark, and we want you to join us for exciting weekly missions using custom missions in DCS World. All experience levels and aircraft types are welcome, so whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a fresh-faced recruit, we invite you to battle with us.

Our missions will start off simple and include tasks such as:

• Finding and destroying enemy vehicles
• Taking out SCUD missiles
• Conducting Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) missions against SAM sites
• Intercepting and destroying enemy AWACS and fighters
• Attacking ships using HARPOON missiles
• Leading a daring raid
• Gathering intelligence on a top-secret mission
• Performing air-to-air refueling
• Navigating through night operations
• Making instrument approaches in inclement weather
• Engaging in dogfighting
• Discovering other hidden talents

As you become more confident and skilled, we’ll raise the stakes with more complex missions that will ultimately become an ongoing campaign. There’s always a new challenge waiting for you.

To make sure that we have the best “hand-crafted” missions possible, we’re thrilled to have the talented JimN92T, aka “SPOOK”, providing the mission creation and leading the charge in our weekly operations. With JimN92T at the helm, you can be sure that every mission will be engaging, challenging, and, above all, fun.

Details:
When: Starting Friday, July 14th @ 8a PT / 11a ET / 1500Z, repeating weekly.

Requirements:
– DCS World Open Beta (latest version)
– Modern-era aircraft or helicopter of choice
– Nevada NTTR & Syria maps
– TeamSpeak 3 & SRS

Note: We will help you download, install, and setup these applications if you do not already have the products installed.

Although we will have an opportunity to brush up your skills, you should be capable of cold start, taxi, take off, land, formation fly, and air-to-air refuel. You also should be able to operate the radios and knowledge of uncontrolled airfield operations/comms.

Campaign Background

These are trying times. You are a citizen of Heroica and a military pilot. The nations of Heroica and Kaosia have been in conflict or the threat of conflict for ages, and the reasons for it are long forgotten, but the animosity remains.

Once again, trouble is brewing. Heroica has appealed to the United States for support, and its leadership has approved aid. As part of the aid program, you and your fellow pilots from the Heroican Air Force are receiving refresher training at the U. S. Air Force’s Red Flag Training Facility in the Nevada Desert to brush up on your combat skills. However, America’s geopolitical adversaries have also jumped in to aid Kaosia.

Today is DAY ONE, and it’s sunrise. You are still recovering from last night’s welcome party, let alone the 4,000-mile trip from Heroica to Nevada, but it’s time to start training!
