Workshop 3: Taxi & Takeoff & Landing

In this session, we cover the following topics:

• Understanding the HUD
• Understanding AOA & On Speed,
• Taxi & takeoff procedures,
• On Speed practice,
• Landing procedures,
• Pilot Proficiency Demonstration,
• Discuss next sessions homework

Important: Now that you know the cold start and shutdown routine, you will be expected to be warmed up and ready to taxi. No use of the auto-start cheat!

– Review “Tbilisi-Lochini Airport Chart”
– Review, Part 5 & 6 of “Chucks Guide”
– Review, pages 494-501 & 509-512 of “DCS A-10C Manual”

The best pilots fly more than the others; that’s why they’re the best. If you can walk away from a landing, it’s a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it’s an outstanding landing.
